Wayne Wright

Founder & Principal Advisor, Wright Business Advisors

I’ve bought businesses. I’ve sold businesses. I’ve built them, grown them, and eventually let them go. Those experiences taught me that selling a business isn’t just a financial decision, it’s a personal one. That’s why I help business owners navigate the process with honesty, preparation, and confidence.

No pressure. No obligation.

My Story

From Business Owner to Helping Business Owners

People often ask how I became a business broker. The answer is simple: I didn’t start as one.

Before I was helping business owners buy and sell companies, I was doing it myself. I’ve bought businesses, operated them, grown them, and eventually sold them. Those experiences taught me lessons you can’t learn from a textbook. I know the challenges, the risks, the long hours, and the responsibility that come with building something of your own.

In 2005, I founded Wright Business Advisors to help other business owners navigate one of the most important decisions they’ll ever make. Selling a business isn’t just about numbers or contracts; it’s about your life’s work, your employees, your family, and the legacy you’ve built.

Today, I help business owners prepare for successful exits with honest advice, practical experience, and a process built on trust, preparation, and personal guidance.

Experience That Goes Beyond Brokerage

Most business brokers know the transaction. I’ve lived every stage of it.

I’ve been the owner making difficult decisions, the buyer evaluating opportunities, and the seller preparing to let go of something built over years of hard work. That perspective allows me to understand the financial, operational, and emotional sides of every transaction, not just the paperwork.

When we work together, you’re not getting advice based solely on theory or industry training. You’re working with someone who understands the challenges of running a business, the responsibility of leading employees, and the importance of protecting the legacy you’ve created.

Industries & Business Owners I Work With

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with owners of privately held businesses generating $1 million to $25 million in annual revenue across a wide range of industries throughout Colorado. While every company is unique, I’ve found that the biggest concerns are often the same, protecting what you’ve built, maximising value, and making the right decision at the right time.

I’ve advised business owners in manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, professional services, and many other industries. Whether you’re planning your retirement, preparing for a future sale, exploring an acquisition, or simply want to understand what your business is worth, my role is to provide honest guidance based on experience, not assumptions.
